FRANK E. JENKINS, III
FRANK E. JENKINS, III, is the senior partner of the firm. He specializes in the areas of insurance defense, zoning, land use, local government and personal injury, and has extensive experience in appellate practice, tort law, and product liability law. His involvement includes 71 Georgia appellant decisions. As a trial lawyer, Mr. Jenkins has served as lead counsel in over 400 trials in Federal, superior, and state courts throughout Georgia. Mr. Jenkins is the author of Georgia Automobile Insurance Law, first published in 1980, and is a co-author of a yearly revised version of this same publication. Attorneys, judges, and insurance companies throughout the state consider this book the textbook for Georgia automobile insurance law. In addition to his active insurance defense practice, Mr. Jenkins also represents many cities, counties, businesses and individuals in matters concerning local government law and zoning throughout the State of Georgia. Zoning has become a large part of his practice through consultation with cities and counties and the development of city and county zoning ordinances. His personal injury practice stems in part from state-wide recognition and referrals from other attorneys with whom he has worked and advised.
Mr. Jenkins served as President of the DeKalb Bar Association during 1991 and 1992 and also founded the litigation section of the DeKalb Bar. Mr. Jenkins is a Charter Member of the Authors Court, an organization that recognizes lawyers who have made outstanding contributions to the field of law through their publication of legal books and articles. He has also served as editor for the Municipal Liability News, a publication of the Risk Management Programs of the Georgia Municipal Association. In addition, Mr. Jenkins has served on the Board of Directors of the DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce and the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce. He formerly served as chair of the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority. Mr. Jenkins' accomplishments include his selection by the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners to serve as a charter member of the DeKalb County Ethics Board, a board he chaired for the first two years of its existence.
