PETER R. OLSON has been with the firm since 1994 and has been a partner since 2000. His practice focuses on litigation, zoning and land use law, business and commercial law and appellate advocacy. Mr. Olson has worked extensively representing local governments, businesses and corporations, and individuals in negotiations, transactions, trials, and zoning matters. His practice has included considerable appellate work in the Georgia and Federal appellate courts. He has drafted or revised ordinances, including zoning and development, sign, erosion control and adult entertainment ordinances, for numerous jurisdictions. He has lectured at the invitation of the Institute for Continuing Legal Education in Georgia, the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute, the Georgia Association of Zoning Administrators, and the National Business Institute, and authored papers on numerous topics regarding zoning and land use. Mr. Olson received his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1989 and his J.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992. He is a member of the Georgia Bar and the Cartersville-Bartow County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
